MA in Waldorf Teacher Education

Residential MA in Waldorf Teacher Education

with Specialization in Early Childhood Education and Grades 1-8

This full-time program is only offered at our Fair Oaks, CA campus. MA candidates will attend on-campus courses from September through May, with additional work as outlined below. Before entering the Program, students must chose to specialize as a teacher in either Early Childhood or Grades 1-8. The California State-approved, non-accredited, MA in Waldorf Teacher Education is based in the Rudolf Steiner College Waldorf Teacher Education Certificate with additional requirements for admission and graduation. A BA or BS degree is required for admission. In addition to fulfilling all the requirements of the Waldorf Teacher Education Certificate program, MA candidates will require extra course work as follows:

• Complete four extra weekends of work during the school year.
• Attend two extra class periods per week.
• Complete two weeks of summer courses, including a workshop on teaching.
• Submit a Capstone Project that will be due by the following June.

Admission and Fees

Students applying for the MA program must have completed required Foundation Studies courses. A Program Application and Financial Aid forms are available online, and should be submitted with official transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and the appropriate registration and application fees. New students may apply before June 1.
