About Our Accreditation Process
Rudolf Steiner College is updating its Accreditation and Governance pages.
Rudolf Steiner College has just submitted its Educational Effectiveness Review to The Western Association of Schools and Colleges on July 27, 2011.

Rudolf Steiner College…
"has applied for Eligibility from the Senior College Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. WASC has reviewed the application and determined that Rudolf Steiner College is eligible to proceed with an application for Candidacy for Accreditation. A determination of Eligibility is not a formal status with the Accrediting Commission, nor does it ensure eventual accreditation; it is a preliminary finding that the institution is potentially accreditable and can proceed within four years of its Eligibility determination to be reviewed for Candidacy status with the Accrediting Commission. Questions about Eligibility may be directed to the institution or to WASC at www.wascsenior.org or at 510-748-9001. (How to Become Accredited, p. 11, publication of WASC)"
Rudolf Steiner College (College) has begun a journey of self-study for the purpose of becoming accredited with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). This process began in the fall of 2008 when the College submitted an application for eligibility. We were granted eligibility in December of 2008 (see the above statement). To become eligible, the College had to meet the 23 eligibility criteria. These included a review of our finances, our educational offerings and our ability to have sustained, over time, the requirements of the Bureau of Private, Post secondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE). Becoming eligible does not guarantee that the College can or will become accredited through membership in WASC, it means that WASC will work with us to determine our status as we endeavor to become accredited.
