Biodynamic Farming and Gardening Workshop Series

Held one Saturday a month for 8 months (September through May, excluding February), followed by a week-long intensive in June. Includes soil, biodynamic preparations, compost, seed saving, tree care, animal husbandry, cosmic rhythms and planting calendars, spring planting, annual and perennial propagation, weed management, beekeeping and pest management. The series is designed as a whole, but workshops can also be attended individually. Each workshop offers something for everyone, from beginners to experienced practitioners. (details...)

The Agriculture Lectures, Evening Study Group

Meets one evening a week in the Fall (for 8 weeks) to study the Agriculture Lectures by Rudolf Steiner. These lectures are available from the Bookstore at Rudolf Steiner College. Additional groups often form to continue studying other titles of interest to farmers and beekeepers. (details...)

Biodynamic Apprenticeships

Raphael Garden at Rudolf Steiner College has positions for four apprentices annually. Through intensive garden work and unique academic experiences, individuals can gain valuable skills and a deeper understanding of biodynamics and small-scale farming. (details...)

Biodynamic Seeds

A variety of biodynamic seeds, locally grown at Raphael Garden, are available from the Bookstore at Rudolf Steiner College and from Turtle Tree Seed (look for seeds designated RG).

High School Students
Garden Tours

Tours of the farm and gardens at the College can be arranged for small groups or organizations. (For schedule and fees, please leave us a message at 916-961-8727 ext 158)

Volunteer Days

On Tuesdays from 9:30 to 12:30, come work alongside our farmers and gardeners. Enjoy getting your hands in the soil, and learn about biodynamics. We will meet you at 9:30am at the picnic tables outside the gate to Raphael Garden. (Questions? Please leave us a message at 916-961-8727 ext 158)
